Installing MessageMate

 

We have listed a step by step tutorial covering how you install the MessageMate software.

On site Installation:

  1. Close all open applications on the PC.
  2. Place the CD in the CD drive.
  3. CD will autoload and open the AppointMate InstallShield Wizard.
  4. If the CD does not autoload, go to My Computer – select the CD Drive and double click – it will then open the AppointMate InstallShield Wizard.
  5. Follow the install steps and complete the necessary fields.
  6. CD will automatically place an AppointMate icon (shortcut) on your desktop.
  7. Double click on the icon and the application opens.
  8. Click on Send SMS and complete all fields with the information as supplied to you by Channel Mobile.
  9. Once all details are in click ‘Close’ then click ‘Save & Exit’.
  10. The applicaiton will close.
  11. Re-open the application and send a test SMS to your phone.

Telephonic Installation:

Create a new folder for MessageMate to install to:

  • Go to My Computer – Local Disk – Program Files.
  • In Program Files create a new folder called ‘I-Soft’.
  • In the I-Soft folder create a new folder called ‘AppointMate’.
  • Minimize the folder.
  1. Open your browser and navigate to https://www.channelmobile.co.za/download/messagemate-download/
  2. On the downloads Page enter your details and click on the download button.
  3. Download and save it to the folder you just created – C:\Program Files\I-Soft\AppointMate.
  4. Once the download is complete maximize the AppointMate folder.
  5. Right click on the zipped MessageMate icon and select – Winzip – Extract to… Extract the executable to C:\Program Files\I-Soft\AppointMate.
  6. Once the .exe has been extracted it will appear as an orange AppointMate Icon. Right click on the Icon and select – Send To – Desktop (create shortcut).
  7. Close all open windows.
  8. On the desktop double click on the Appointmate Icon.
  9. Then click on Send SMS and complete all fields with the information as supplied to you by Channel Mobile.
  10. Once all details are in click ‘Close’ then click ‘Save & Exit’.
  11. The application will close.
  12. Re-open the application and send a test SMS to your phone.
