USSD API

Overview

USSD stands for Unstructured Supplementary Services Data. It is a technology used to send information (usually text menus) between a mobile phone and an application on a mobile network.

i.e. It allows customers to request information by using numeric strings (starting with * and ending with #) or text menus via their mobile phone.

USSD can encompass once off requests or interactive navigation with a menu based application. Customers are also able to store the USSD strings or commands on their mobile phones so they don’t have to remember the codes. This allows them to access your application directly.
